Eligibility For Anganwadi Worker of the UT of J&K 2025
- The applicant must be a resident of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
- Female applicants aged between 18 and 37 years are eligible to apply.
- The applicant must reside in the electoral ward where the Anganwadi Centre is located. Inclusion in the voter list for that ward will serve as proof of residence. If the applicant’s name appears in the voter list alongside her parents, she must submit an unmarried certificate issued by the relevant Tehsildar. In cases of any disputes regarding residence, a residence proof certifying the ward from the appropriate SDMIACR will be accepted.
- The minimum educational qualification required for the position of Anganwadi Worker is 10+2, while the maximum is graduation. If no candidates with a 10+2 qualification are available in the ward, candidates with a 10+2 qualification from an adjacent ward may be considered, pending prior approval from the Mission Director of Mission POSHAN.
- If a suitable candidate cannot be found in the adjacent ward, a candidate from the nearest ward within the Panchayat may be considered, subject to the approval of the Mission Director of Mission POSHAN.
- Selection will be based solely on merit, with weightage given to the marks obtained in 10+2, and no other criteria will be taken into account.
- In the event of a tie in merit among eligible candidates, preference will be given to the older candidate.
- Candidates with qualifications exceeding graduation will not be considered.
Jammu and Kashmir Anganwadi 2025 Helpers
- The selection of Helpers will be limited to the electoral ward where the Anganwadi Centre is situated.
- Eligible candidates must be women aged between 18 and 37 years.
- Candidates must be residents of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
- The minimum educational requirement for the position of Anganwadi Helper is a matriculation certificate. If no matriculated candidates are available in the ward, individuals with a minimum qualification of 8th standard may be considered.
- The committee will select the most disadvantaged married woman from the ward who meets the qualification criteria as the Helper. If no married candidates are available, unmarried candidates may be taken into account.
- If there is an eligible candidate within the family of retiring Anganwadi Workers (AWWs) or Anganwadi Helpers (AWHs), they will be given preference.
Document Verification of Jammu and Kashmir Anganwadi Recruitment 2025
1) Candidates who are shortlisted for document verification must attend the verification process with their original documents and self-attested photocopies of each document, as specified in the Advertisement Notification. It is essential that candidates possess the required academic qualifications and other documents, such as the Domicile Certificate, by the deadline for submitting the application form.
a) Mark sheets/Diplomas/Degrees corresponding to the qualifications required for the position as outlined in the Advertisement Notification.
b) Date of Birth/Matriculation Certificate.
c) Domicile Certificate.
d) Unmarried Certificate (if applicable).
2) Candidates are required to bring two recent passport-sized color photographs and one original form of Photo ID proof. Acceptable Photo ID proofs include:
