Reservation of AP Home Guard 2025
Women Reservation: 33.5 % in all Categories
- EWS, BC-A, BC-B, BC-C, BC-D, BC-E, SC, ST and Ex. Servicemen as per rule of reservation.
Reservation for Special Categories:
- Civil Constables: 2% for meritorious sports person (MSP)
- 3% for NCC
- 15% for Home Guards
- 4% for Children of Police personnel (CPP)
- 2% for CDI
APSP Constables:
- 2% for meritorious sports person (MSP)
- 3% for NCC
- 15% for Home Guards
- 4% for Children of Police personnel (CPP)
- 2% for CDI
Note:
The Reservation Quota for AP Home Guards has been increased substantially from 8% to 15% in respect of civil constables, and 10% to 25% in respect of APSP Constables.
Eligibility Conditions for AP Home Guard 2025
- Civil Constable: Men and Women are eligible
- APSP Constable: only Men are eligible
Age Relaxation: EWS, BCs, SCs, STs, Govt Employees, armed forces employees, NCC instructor, Temporary employee of State census department.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have completed an Intermediate examination or an equivalent qualification. For those belonging to scheduled castes or scheduled tribes, it is required to have passed the SSC or an equivalent examination, in addition to having studied at the Intermediate level and participated in the examinations for both the 1st and 2nd years.

Welfare Measures for AP Home Guards 2025 (Chittoor)
Home Guards Strength 2025
The authorized personnel count for Home Guards in Chittoor District stands at 455, which includes one platoon of female Home Guards. The District is divided into three units: Chittoor, Madanapalli, and Palamaner.
Welfare Measures for Home Guards 2025
- Home Guards have been granted welfare loans of Rs. 5,000 each, to be repaid through monthly salary deductions of Rs. 500 over a period of ten installments.
- All Home Guards have been issued identity cards and name plates.
- Additionally, nose masks and traffic equipment, including red jackets, helmets, batons, and lights, have been distributed to Home Guards assigned to traffic duty in Chittoor District (CTR, PLMR, MPL Units).
- Medical reimbursement bills have been approved for eligible Home Guards.
- Hospital services are available to Home Guards at the Police Welfare Hospital in Chittoor.
- Furthermore, mineral water (SUJALA) is supplied to all Home Guards from the Police Mineral Water Plants located in Palamaner and Chittoor.
- District Home Guards are also availing themselves of the facilities provided by the police subsidiary canteen.
