Facilities of Karnataka Anganwadi Workers and Helpers 2025
- Honorarium is determined based on the individual’s level of seniority.
- Retired Anganwadi Workers and Helpers are eligible for a gratuity benefit.
- In the unfortunate event of an Anganwadi Worker (AWW) or Anganwadi Helper (AWH) passing away while on duty, their dependents will receive a compensation amounting to Rs. 50,000/-.
- A maximum of Rs. 50,000/- is allocated for medical reimbursement.
- Under the NPS Lite scheme, the State Government contributes Rs. 150/- for AWWs and Rs. 84/- for AWHs towards pension.
- For those not participating in the NPS Lite scheme, AWWs are provided with financial assistance of Rs. 50,000/- and AWHs with Rs. 30,000/-.
- Each AWW and AWH is provided with one set of uniforms annually, valued at Rs. 500/-.
- Maternity leave is granted for a period of six months, along with the honorarium.
- Employees are entitled to 20 days of casual leave each year.
- There is a provision for 15 days of summer vacation.
- Dependents of AWWs and AWHs who die while in service may be appointed to a position on compassionate grounds.

Rules for Karnataka Anganwadi Workers 2025
a. Uniform for Anganwadi Workers and Helpers: In accordance with the Saksham Anganwadi – Poshan 2.0 guidelines released by the Central Government on August 14, 2022, a sum of Rs. 500/- is being credited to the accounts of Anganwadi workers and helpers for the purchase of two sarees each year.
b. Pre-School Kit: Each Anganwadi Center and Mini Anganwadi Center is allocated Rs. 5,000/- as part of the Comprehensive Child Development Scheme Administration Cost. This financial support will be shared among all Anganwadi centers. Furthermore, a state-level committee has been formed at all Anganwadi centers, consisting of highly qualified educational professionals and selected ICDS workers.
c. Medicine Kit: As part of the administrative expenses of ICDS, medicine kits are provided to 63,030 Anganwadi Centres and 2,329 Mini Anganwadi Centres, with each Anganwadi Centre receiving Rs. 1,500 and each Mini Anganwadi Centre receiving Rs. 750.
