KVS Admission Process 2025-26 for LKG and Class-1: Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has announced the KVS Online Admission Notice for the academic year 2025-26 on its official website, kvsonlineadmission.kvs.gov.in. The KV Online Admission Schedule for 2025-26, covering classes 1 to 12, indicates that admissions for all classes, with the exception of Class 11, will commence shortly. The online admission process for Class 1 in KV Schools will begin on April 1, 2025. Admissions for Class 2 and higher, excluding Class XI, will be conducted offline in the near future. Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan is expected to release the first, second, and third selection and waiting lists for Class 1 admissions in KV in August 2025.

  • To begin, visit the official KVS admission portal at https://kvsonlineadmission.kvs.gov.in/ and click on the link labeled ‘Click Here To Register’ located on the homepage.
  • If you are an existing applicant, please select the Login option and enter your credentials.
  • For new users, it is necessary to register your child’s name along with all required details to obtain your login information.
  • After logging in with your registered number and password, you will gain access to the online application form.
  • Prior to completing the application form, ensure that you read all instructions carefully and have all necessary documents ready.
  • You may apply to three nearby KV schools for your child, each requiring a separate application form.
  • Once you have submitted the application form, you will have the opportunity to edit the information provided within a specified grace period, so there is no need for concern.
  • All instructions and OTPs will be sent to your registered mobile number and email address.
  • Before filling out the online application form, make sure to select the desired KV school along with its code and location.
  • If you are applying under the RTE category, you must reside within the designated distance from the school.
  • For other priority categories, please ensure that you have all relevant service documents and details clearly prepared.
  • After submitting the application form, if any errors are detected, you will receive a notification. Otherwise, you will receive a confirmation message indicating that your form has been successfully submitted.

KVS Admission 2025-26 Reservation Policy

Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes Category: A total of 15% of seats will be reserved for Scheduled Castes, 7.5% for Scheduled Tribes, and 27% for Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL) in all new admissions across all Kendriya Vidyalayas.

A total of 3% of the available seats for new admissions will be specifically allocated for Children with Special Needs (CwSN).

Online Admission form for Class 10 & 11 in Kendriya Vidyalaya

New admissions for classes X and XII, excluding students from Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs), will be considered based on the availability of vacancies. The Principal of the KV will evaluate such admissions for classes X and XII only if the average enrollment in these classes is below 32. Additionally, the following conditions must be met:

  • The student must have been enrolled in a similar course of study at a CBSE-affiliated institution.
  • For admission to Class X, the student must have achieved a minimum of 55% aggregate marks in Class IX.
  • For Class XII admission, a minimum of 55% marks in the Class XI examination is required.
  • The student must meet the eligibility criteria as outlined in the KVS Admission Guidelines.
  • The subject combinations selected by the student must be available at Kendriya Vidyalayas.
  • Fresh admissions will be prioritized for categories 1 and 2 for Civil and Defence sector KVs, and categories 1 to 3 for IHL/Project sector KVs only.
