Procedure for the Railway Recruitment Board NTPC 2025 Selection

The process of selecting candidates for the RRB NTPC Recruitment is a multi-stage procedure designed to identify the most qualified individuals for these positions. The selection process for the RRB Non-Technical Popular Categories is detailed below.

Computer-Based Test (CBT 1): The initial stage of the Railway NTPC selection process is the Computer-Based Test (CBT-1). This stage is applicable to all advertised posts and evaluates candidates on General Awareness, Mathematics, and General Intelligence and Reasoning. The examination has a total weightage of 100 marks.

Computer-Based Test (CBT 2): The second stage of the selection process is another Computer-Based Test (CBT-2), which further assesses candidates’ skills in General Awareness, Mathematics, and General Intelligence and Reasoning. This exam consists of 120 questions, each worth 1 mark.

Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) & Typing Skill Test (TST): Candidates applying for positions such as Assistant Station Master (ASM) and Traffic Assistant must also take the Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT). For roles like Senior Clerk cum Typist and Junior Accounts Assistant cum Typist, a Typing Skill Test (TST) is administered. Both of these tests are solely qualifying in nature.

Document Verification (DV): Candidates who succeed based on their results in the Stage-II CBT and CBAT/TST will be invited for Document Verification (DV).
