Following function are assigned to the Home Guards 2025
The Home Guards are assigned the following responsibilities:
a) Act as a support to the police force and aid in the preservation of internal security.
b) Provide assistance to the community during emergencies, including air raids, fires, floods, epidemics, and similar situations.
c) Organize functional units to deliver essential services, which encompass motor transport, pioneer and engineering groups, fire brigades, nursing and first aid, as well as the operation of water and power supply in various installations.
d) Foster communal harmony and support the administration in safeguarding vulnerable segments of society.
e) Engage in socio-economic and welfare initiatives, such as adult education, health and hygiene programs, development schemes, and other activities considered beneficial.
Rule and Regulation of Tripura Home Guard Recruitment 2025
Regulations and Guidelines, Manuals Directing Unit Operations: – The Home Guards Organization operates in accordance with the Compendium of Instructions and The Bombay Home Guards Act (Act-III of 1947), as applicable to Tripura, along with the Tripura Home Guards Rules of 1962.
Welfare Initiatives Implemented by the Units: – To offer financial support to Home Guards members, the “Tripura Home Guards Welfare and Benevolent Fund” was established, funded through contributions from volunteers and grants provided by the Government.
